lungs and heart working in unison

I don't know how much you've explored this theme, but it really appeals to me. It's an idea that never occur to me- haiku lungs or calligraphy organs. brilliant. I love the initial puzzling, the 'what is it meant to be?' then the aha. Come to think of it...they are internal landscapes.

Thanks L. M. -made my day when I read your comment. It's great when people can look carefully and recognise a new idea. This is an idea I've been using lines for, for a long time. Initially through looking at ritual scarification lines and body painting though now it has more to do with the internal human landscape, whole arm and handwriting action and the marks of writing, exotic and indecipherable. In China I came upon this monumental stone stele in one of the side rooms of a Confucian temple. It was covered in writing, three different scripts. None of the scripts were Chinese, very hard to find out any more about it apart from the fact it was a record of a battle. It had been broken and patched, large chunks missing. none of the photos I surreptitiously took turned out, too dark, no flash. It felt very human. My own handwriting is appalling.
